PINIMAGESpecial thanks to Ted Lindsay, Dave Goetze, Larry Kinney and the Detroit Red Wing Alumni for bringing the the Stanley Cup to Port Huron’s McMorran Arena. Over a thousand people got to view and take pictures with the Stanley Cup. The day started early with a special breakfast with the Stanley Cup than autograph signing sessions with Ted Lindsay, Alex Devecchio, Bill Gadsby, Mickey Redmond, Manon Rheaume and the “Bruise Brothers” Joe Kocur and Bob Probert.
PINIMAGEThere was a huge turn-out for The Detroit Red Wings Alumni vs. the Port Huron Alumni game. The Wings Alumni won 7-4. Following the Alumni game the first place IHL Port Huron Icehawks took on the Fort Wayne Komets. The Icehawks lost the game 4-1. The Stanley Cup was center Ice between second and third periods. Mike Bolt, Keeper of the Stanley Cup, was interviewed
PINIMAGEon the Ice by Ice Hawks merchandising manager, Dennis Fracassi. The night ended with a Stanley Cup party at Military Street Music Cafe with Karen Newman in concert. Thanks to the fans, thousands of dollars were raised for charity.
