The Hockey Cancer Classic Charity game between the Shawn Burr Foundation and the Detroit Red Wings Alumni Association was played in Frasier, Michigan at the Great Lakes Sports Arena on March 17.  With the hockey game, the VIP Dinner afterwards at Andiamo Warren and donation, the Shawn Burr Foundation raised over $70,000.00 for cancer research in Michigan.  The  Leukemia & Lymphoma Society and the University of Michigan Comprehensive Cancer Center are recipients of the money raised.  Burr was admitted to U.M. Hospital the day after the game to start chemo treatment in his battle against Acute Myeloid Leukemia.  He also need a bone marrow transplant.  Over 150 fans volunteered to a have their mouth swabbed to see if the would be a bone marrow match.  We pray that Shawn finds a bone marrow match and makes a speedy recovery.   Below are some of the photos of the SBF Hockey Classic Game and the banquet at Andiamo .
